Rabbits make excellent pets being highly social animals and are well adapted to both indoor and outdoor living. A Netherland Dwarf is happy in a cage ranging in size from 18X24 to 24X24. You can provide a larger cage for your pet bunny, but make sure it has adequate protection from both the cold winters and warm Texas summers.
Each pet bunny comes with information on proper care, housing and how to litter train your pet rabbit. These brochures are produced by the American Rabbit Breeders Association. I encourage every pet bunny owner to join the ARBA and take advantage of it's many benefits.
I raise Netherland Dwarfs in the colors of Blue Eyed White, Ruby Eyed White, Vienna Mark, Black and Chestnut. Others colors appear from time to time from these colors.
Dwarfs are one of the smallest breeds weighing ideally two pounds. Pet quality bunnies often times are larger and I do my best to advise you how big I think your pet should grow. Regardless they will stay much smaller than most other recognized breeds of rabbit. I typically only sale bucks (males) as pets. I believe them to make better pets than females. Rabbits on this page come from my Grand Champion line of Netherland Dwarfs, but for one reason or another aren't suited for showing. This in no way makes them any less qualified to become a wonderful pet. There are many reputable pet stores in the greater DFW area, but why purchase from the middle man when you can purchase your pet bunny direct from the breeder. It's far less stressful on your new pet to go from my rabbitry to your home than live in a pet store for days to weeks. I also offer long-term support if you have any questions about your new pet. '
I have four black Netherland Dwarfs available September 7th. These should all stay around 2-2.5 pounds and are extremely friendly and playful. Good homes a must!
